Friday Favorites: Cocktails at Oga’s Cantina

I was raised on Star Wars, so when Disney’s Hollywood Studios opened up Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, I was pumped to check it out. The entire place was perfect, down to the smallest detail. Both rides: Smugglers Run and Rise of the Resistance were kick ass but I was looking forward to the literal out of this world cocktails at Oga’s Cantina. As most of you know, booking reservations for anything at Disney World is a skill, so I was so happy we got in. Pre Covid you were able to just go in and grab a drink, but as of now reservations are needed.

We also had the best custom shirts! We each picked a droid and had the saying “these aren’t the droids you are looking for.” I had BB8! I posted my space buns video at the bottom. When you’re a hairdresser, everything has to be on brand!

I was so excited we were seated at the bar! We ordered almost every cocktail on the menu and the 2 snacks. Our bartender Jon was amazing. I highly recommend trying them all if possible and bonus… You can take one to go!!!

Round 1:

Jet Juice: Don’t let the size of this little guy scare you away. Its bourbon based but has a hint of sugar and spice.

Fuzzy Tauntaun: The foam on this drink literally makes your whole mouth numb. It lingered in your mouth the whole time. You can’t go wrong with citrus and vodka.

The Outer Rim: Hello Star Wars Margarita. Acai with delicious fruit foam and black salted rim. This drink was my favorite out of all of them.

Dagobah Slug Slinger: Super refreshing tequila drink that wasn’t overly sweet. Super easy to drink!!!

Snacks:

We ordered both of the snacks offered. The “charcuterie” plate was full of tasty snacks that looked like alien parts. It included prosciutto with string shaped cheese, pork rinds with chinese 5 spice, crackers and other cured meats. The other was a take on chips and salsa. The chips were all fun shapes and colors. They were the perfect sharing size for 2-4 people and much needed with all of the cocktails.

Jedi Mind Trick: Refreshing vodka with a super fun color!

Bespin Fizz: This sweet rum based drink had pomegranate and yuzu but the best part was the glass had liquid nitrogen so it bubbled when served and had a little sparkle to it.

Jet Juice: Repeat drink, it was so good!

Secret Menu: The bartender let us know about this! A spicy bloody mary with a bone on top.

Before we enjoyed our last round to go, we ordered the Rodian Ration. This was an adult size, shareable jello shot! It was topped with boba balls and pop rocks!

Check out the perfect hairstyle: SPACE BUNS!!!
