Hidden Gems of Calistoga

Calistoga is a cute little town 30 miles north of Napa. You can find great food, amazing wineries and fun places to stay. You can find my full Calistoga Itinerary here! Hope you enjoy!

UP VALLEY INN

The best place to stay in Calistoga! The Up Valley Inn has a hot springs pool and adorable rooms. The price is perfect! They have a fabulous patio area with string lights to sip wine under the stars and some Saturday nights they host movie night!

CHATEAU MONTELENA

The most stunning property, that they even have a tripod to set up for a group photo! My fav wine was their Zinfandel! At $40 a bottle I was so amazed. We had a great tasting and met the owner and his dog!

AMIZETTA

Three words: THE BEST VIEW EVER! Ok so four words. But do not miss Amizetta. The story of the winery is as amazing as their wines. We joined the club and am obsessed with their Sauvignon Blanc. We visit every year because we love their wines and the experience so much. Pro tip: be sure to have a driver as its located up a mountain and is a 30 min drive.

DAVIS ESTATE

Two things: food pairing and the patio! I was beyond amazed with the tasting menu which changes about every 6 weeks. I highly recommend asking for a reservation on the patio! You can read more about the experience in my food and wine pairing blog! I honestly would visit here every trip, if my list of wineries wasn’t so big!!

SOL BAR

The perfect spot for dinner under the stars, well trees with sparkling lights. Sol Bar is located in Aurburge Solage resort. The service and food is impeccable. Every time we go the flavors just melt in your mouth. We always order cocktails to break up the flow of wine. And do yourself a favor and eat the delicious breads they serve! So dang good!

AMICI

Our driver Rod recommended Amici for us. We loved the spot. We had a private tasting with Jeff. He was so knowledgeable of the area along with an awesome play list. I loved their wines and the views are beautiful. If I lived here I would host parties at their garden all of the time.

REVERIE II

You love puppies and wine, add Reverie to your list. The guys at Reverie do not disappoint. We took the ATV up to their patio that over looks the valley. The wine is amazing and we love the intimate feel. Our fist time visiting, they took us to thier barrel room and the guys were able to drink some belching beaver been they had on tap! It’s a dudes winery for sure!

I hope you have a great time planning your next wine trip! If you need help, feel free to email me angelakemp25@gmail.com or reach out on IG @itsalalalife. I charge a small fee for planning your trip. Trust me it’s a pain to map everything out and plan driving times, but I thrive on that!!! Happy planning!
